It’s a week of adventure, elegance, friendship, and pure Caribbean joy — all from the comfort and grace of Arabella.

St Maarten

Our sailing vacation begins on Saint Maarten, a tropical paradise that offers the perfect blend of adventure, relaxation, and cultural richness. Known as “The Friendly Island,” this gem of the Caribbean boasts 37 pristine beaches with turquoise waters, perfect for swimming, snorkeling, and sunbathing. The island is uniquely shared by two nations—French and Dutch—offering visitors a mix of European sophistication and Caribbean charm. Add to that the electric energy of the Heineken Regatta, where the island comes alive with parties, music, and camaraderie, and Saint Maarten becomes the ultimate destination for an unforgettable mix of sailing, fun, and island bliss.

Grand Case

After breakfast, we set sail from Simpson Bay, following the island’s northern coast — about 12 nautical miles of turquoise waters and lush green hillsides.
By midday, we anchor off Grand Case, a charming seaside village renowned as the culinary heart of the Caribbean. Colorful Creole cottages line the beach, filled with the aromas of French and island cuisine.
Spend the afternoon swimming, snorkeling, or wandering ashore. As evening falls, Grand Case comes alive with music and the scent of grilling seafood — an ideal night to dine ashore and savor the flavors that make this town famous.

Ille Forchue

Île Fourchue is a quiet, uninhabited island set between St. Maarten and St. Barths, shaped by rugged hills and wrapped in clear, glass-calm water. The anchorage here feels like a private world, sheltered and still, perfect for swimming, paddleboarding, or simply floating beside Arabella in the warm afternoon light. With no towns and no noise, the night sky becomes spectacular — a canopy of stars reflected on the sea. It’s a peaceful pause in the voyage, where time seems to stretch and the Caribbean feels wonderfully wild.

St Barths – Gustavia

Sailing into Gustavia feels like arriving in a jewel box harbor: classic yachts at anchor, red rooftops climbing the hillside, and the soft golden light of late afternoon catching everything just right. Once Arabella is secured, the town unfolds into an evening of effortless elegance. Wander the waterfront and explore the stylish boutiques before settling into a harborside bistro for a French Caribbean dinner. As the night deepens, the tempo rises. Gustavia is known for its refined but lively nightlife, with chic lounges, intimate cocktail bars, and open-air music spots where sailors, travelers, and island regulars mingle. Order a rum punch, enjoy the soft sea breeze, and let the night flow. Gustavia is where sailing adventure meets a touch of Riviera glamour beneath the Caribbean stars.

St Barths – Anse de Colombier

Anse de Colombier is one of the most treasured anchorages in St. Barths, a serene crescent of white sand tucked between green, rolling hills and accessible only by boat or a footpath. The water is calm and brilliantly clear, perfect for swimming, snorkeling, or simply floating under the sun. After a lazy, luxurious afternoon there, Arabella sails a short distance to Ile Fourchue, a rugged, uninhabited island that wraps you in stillness. The anchorage is well protected, and the night sky here feels vast and unfiltered. It’s the kind of evening where conversations soften, the sea laps against the hull, and the stars feel close enough to touch. A perfect quiet night in the Caribbean.

The Heineken Regatta

At first light, Arabella will cruise back up to Simpson Bay to watch the lively parade of sailboats streaming out of the inner harbor. It’s a wonderful spectacle with crews dressing up and calling to one another across the water. Saturday is race day, and we follow the action from the comfort of Arabella, enjoying front-row views as the fleets round marks and chase the wind. When the sun goes down, the energy shifts ashore as the Heineken Regatta throws one of its famously spirited parties. Live music, dancing, and laughter spill into the warm Caribbean night. It’s a joyful capstone to a day spent honoring the sea.The St. Maarten Heineken Regatta features over 110 boats from more than 35 countries.
